Jake initially worked for Shape Shopfitters as a labourer at the age of 15 during school holidays, etc. After completing school, he went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and now has over 15 years’ experience in steel fabrication and welding.
Prior to joining the Shape Shopfitters team three years ago, Jake spent seven years working overseas. On his return to Australia, and in order to increase the scope of the Shape Shopfitters inhouse team in the production of uniquely designed architectural metal work, Jake was appointed to expand and lead this area as the ideal candidate for the role.
Jake works closely with the design, commercial joinery, signage and project management teams to develop and fabricate a wide variety of client design requirements to ensure delivery of high-quality metal work pieces for their shop fit outs.
He relishes the challenges the broad diversity of projects and materials on offer affords his team and delights in delivering metal work features that enhance the overall look and feel of a completed shop fit out.
When not working in the factory Jake gets outdoors as often as possible either mountain bike riding, running or snowboarding.
